The LSA will fund domestic support for a participant where it is considered ‘necessary and reasonable’, and where it is shown that the participant’s inability to undertake the tasks is related to their motor vehicle injury.

The LSA has established an internal preferred list to simplify the process of engaging domestic services, ensure rates are reasonable and ensure that the providers being engaged meet the LSA’s requirements.

Providers outside of this list may be engaged where there is adequate justification and where the hourly rate is not deemed reasonable by the LSA, Participants may be required to co-contribute the gap.

The preferred list does not include gardening.
