Participants came together to connect, hear the latest news, and watch presentations from special guests.
Twice a year, the LSA hosts a Participant Forum, inviting participants and their families to share experiences, learn from guest speakers, and stay up to date with the latest developments. The most recent Forum was held on Friday, 14 November 2025, with a strong turnout and plenty of engagement.
Attendees enjoyed a range of presentations, including:
- Kylie Smith, Director, Services, who provided an update on the Lifetime Support Scheme.
- A participant speaker, who shared his personal story of his motor vehicle accident, his life after injury, and how he now uses his lived experience to support other amputees.
- Professor Stacey George and Associate Professor Maayken van den Berg, who presented their research on tailoring information for people recovering from serious road trauma injuries.
To ensure all participants can access the information, recordings of the presentations are made available online for those living in rural areas or who were unable to attend on the day.
