We’re pleased to share that we have commenced two major strategic projects - LSA Elevate and the SALSA2 Roadmap. SALSA2 is the LSA’s core information system. These initiatives are critical steps in preparing for the expected growth in LSS Participants and ensuring the LSA can continue delivering high-quality, timely support into the future. The number of LSS Participants is projected to increase significantly in the coming years. To meet this demand, we must future-proof our systems, streamline the way we work, and ensure our teams have the tools they need to focus on what matters most which is supporting Participants. The LSA Elevate and SALSA2 Roadmap projects respond directly to this challenge by simplifying our processes and building a more efficient and digitally responsive organisation.

The LSA is continuing its work on the SALSA2 Roadmap Project, which is modernising the system our staff use to coordinate and manage participant support. Our focus is on making information easier to access, reducing manual processes, and improving consistency in how services are recorded and delivered. Over the past year we’ve strengthened core parts of the system, streamlined key processes and set the foundation for future improvements, including better automation and reporting. These updates will help our staff work more efficiently and ensure a smoother experience for the people and providers who interact with us.

LSA Elevate is all about making our day-to-day work easier through a series of sub projects focussed on improving elements of our service delivery model. We’re simplifying processes so staff spend less time on paperwork, improving communication during home visits, and strengthening our relationships with service providers. Currently, we are trialling a scribing tool that helps capture what’s said during meetings and participant engagements, so Service Planners can spend less time on administration. Overall, the project aims to make things clearer, easier, and more consistent so we can provide the best support possible to Participants.

Both projects help us prepare for the expected growth in LSS Participants. By making our work simpler and using smarter technology, we’re creating more time for what matters most - supporting Participants well into the future.
