In February, the LSA hosted 3 Service Provider Forums for allied health professionals. Over the 3 sessions, we welcomed more than 70 attendees, both online and in-person at the LSA office, to learn more about how we can best work together to support Lifetime Support Scheme (LSS) participants.
These forums were a great opportunity to strengthen relationships and share information with allied health professionals. An LSA update was provided, outlining new requirements on what the LSA needs from allied health professionals to ensure seamless service delivery for LSS participants. The 5 Services teams were introduced, highlighting the structure of how the teams work together and when service providers might engage with each team.
LSS participant Dave Wilson sharing his recovery journey was the highlight of each session. Together with LSA Service Planning Manager Claire Sheehy, Dave spoke about how he worked with the LSA and a team of service providers to achieve his goals. His story was even more poignant with some of his own allied health support team in the room.
The forums were a great networking opportunity for our service providers to meet LSA staff as well as other allied health professionals supporting LSS participants.
We have received overwhelmingly positive feedback with 100% of attendees reporting that they would recommend these events to their colleagues.
