A new road safety campaign focuses on those seriously injured in motor vehicle accidents. The Advertiser’s Arrive Alive campaign was launched by Premier Peter Malinauskas and Police and Emergency Services Minister Dan Cregan. It aims to reduce the ‘fatal five’ dangerous driving behaviours including speeding, distraction, drink and drug driving, not wearing seatbelts and dangerous road users.
The LSA supported this road safety campaign with four LSS participants sharing their story. LSS participants Daniel Woolley, Jodie Mannix, Richard Davis and Vivienne Duffett spoke about their experiences of road trauma in the hopes of making South Australian roads a safer place. Their unique stories covered a range of topics including rural driving, motorcycle riding and risky decisions. The mix of diverse circumstances that led to each motor vehicle accident profiled, reinforced the need for drivers to pay attention to the road at all times.
Please visit the LSA’s Facebook page to learn more about each participant’s campaign involvement. You can read more about the Arrive Alive campaign on the Advertiser website.
