Applying principles of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) in therapeutic settings for individuals with brain injury.
Dr Alinka Fisher is a Research Associate and Lecturer in the Disability and Community Inclusion Unit, College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Flinders University.
Alinka began her career as a Developmental Educator, with a background in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) for individuals with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) with complex behavioural issues. As part of her PhD, Alinka developed and trialled the FAB-PBS program, which is now being trialled in a larger feasibility study funded by the LSA.
Alinka provides PBS consultation in the disability sector, including professional development training for staff and family support workshops through Families4Families Inc.
