The year ahead is an exciting one for us as we embark on a significant partnership with Brain Injury SA to better provide services to participants with a brain injury, which represents about two thirds of our scheme.
Our strategic partnership with Brain Injury SA will see the delivery of several programs to our participants, including Rewire.
Rewire is a rehabilitation program to help a participant reach their rehabilitation goals within a six month period, at their own pace. The program is delivered by Brain Injury SA’s experienced staff and a group of allied health professionals from specialist fields.
A formal partnership will be created in the coming months and we look forward to seeing our participants achieving their goals, reintegrating with their communities, and living their best life.
I often talk about the extraordinary work of our service planners, who are out in the community daily, working with our participants. We are a relatively small team at the LSA, and our staff are multi-skilled and very good at their work, but we could not achieve all we do without the experience, support and direction of our seven-member Board, led by our chair Juliet Brown.
Significantly, our Board brings diverse and valued skills with experience ranging from legal, financial management, human resources, health, disability and government.
Our Board is actively involved in developing the LSA’s strategic plan, setting the direction of our organisation, providing excellent corporate governance, and supporting me and the LSA team, which we all greatly value.
