We are looking for participants and their families, and stakeholders, to provide feedback about their experience with the Lifetime Support Scheme to the Social Development Committee of the South Australian Parliament.
The Committee is about to commence a review of legislation which established the Scheme (the Motor Vehicle Accidents (Lifetime Support Scheme) Act 2013). The review will include whether the Scheme is effective and fair to assist people who have been seriously injured in motor vehicle accidents.
While the review is required under the Act, it provides a valuable opportunity for the LSA and service providers to demonstrate the high quality treatment, care and support provided through the LSS, and the outcomes achieved by participants and their families.
Written submissions, or a registration of interest to present to the Committee, should be made to the Committee by Friday 21 April 2017.
You can send your submission to Secretary, Social Development Committee, GPO Box 572, Adelaide 5001. Information about the submission process is available to download here.
If you would like the LSA’s help to prepare your submission, please contact your service planner or the LSA on (08) 8463 6131.
For more information about the Committee’s review process, you can contact the Committee Secretary on (08) 8237 9416 or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
